"Education, from my point of view, must be inclusive, i.d., that there must have diversity in the group and that someone have learn to accept it, but  individuality must also be respected. Respect to be respected!"

I still remember my schooling in Primary. All sitting in pairs. No diversity; teachers who did everything possible to educate us, in silence ... an overwhelming silence that nobody dared to break; they were other times, where the teacher was the highest authority. He still took that to punish facing the wall for talking.

The methodology was another song. There was no other possible way to learn, beyond memorizing and then "vomiting" it in exams. Those of us who are timid experienced fatal because we wanted to learn dynamically and, thus, we were mere "furniture". I wonder if my "selective mutism" is due to this.

Luckily, the pedagogy has changed a lot and my greatest wish is being fulfilled. As a sociocultural animator, I really enjoy the workshops because I can share ideas with other people and see a "bit of me" reflected in the initiatives. Obviously, a comfortable environment is needed.
