Cuando estudiaba para preparar el examen de literatura inglesa de tercero, hay un momento en que aparecen en los apuntes, las corrientes filosóficas , la psiquiatría o la sexología. Hablando de la psiquiatría, las teorías me produjeron tal desazón que me negué a escribirlo en mis apuntes a mano, por el concepto absurdo y violento que tenían de la mujer.
Eran tales las simplezas que la mujer quedaba reducida a ser siempre un objeto sumiso. Daba la impresión de que les molestaba que su poder estuviese acabando.

When I was studying for my third-year English literature exam, there came a point in my notes when philosophical currents, psychiatry, and sexology appeared. Speaking of psychiatry, the theories caused me such unease that I refused to write them down in my handwritten notes because of their absurd and violent concept of women.
The simplistic notions reduced women to always being submissive objects. It seemed as if they were bothered by the fact that their power was waning.

Ihr werdet Erinnerungsfragmente und Analysen hören, die verstörend sind. Denn Erinnern bedeutet Widerstand. Denn Vergessen ist auch Gewalt.
Als ich für meine Englischprüfung im dritten Studienjahr lernte, stieß ich in meinen Notizen auf philosophische Strömungen, Psychiatrie und Sexualwissenschaft. Apropos Psychiatrie: Die Theorien lösten in mir ein solches Unbehagen aus, dass ich mich weigerte, sie in meine handschriftlichen Notizen aufzunehmen, aufgrund ihres absurden und gewalttätigen Frauenbildes.
Die simplistischen Vorstellungen reduzierten Frauen auf unterwürfige Objekte. Es schien, als ob sie sich daran störten, dass ihre Macht schwand.

Lors de mes révisions pour mon examen de littérature anglaise de troisième année, j'ai été confrontée à des notions de philosophie, de psychiatrie et de sexologie. La psychiatrie, en particulier, m'a tellement mise mal à l'aise que j'ai refusé de les noter, tant leur conception de la femme était absurde et violente.
Ces idées simplistes réduisaient les femmes à de simples objets de soumission. On aurait dit qu'elles étaient perturbées par le déclin de leur pouvoir.

عندما كنت أستعد لامتحان الأدب الإنجليزي في السنة الثالثة، صادفت في ملاحظاتي تيارات فلسفية، وعلم النفس، وعلم الجنس. وبالحديث عن علم النفس، فقد أثارت نظرياته في نفسي قلقاً بالغاً لدرجة أنني رفضت تدوينها في ملاحظاتي المكتوبة بخط اليد لما تحمله من مفهوم سخيف وعنيف عن المرأة.
اختزلت هذه المفاهيم المُبسطة المرأة إلى مجرد كائن خاضع. بدا الأمر وكأنها منزعجة من تضاؤل قوتها.

Quando studiavo per l'esame di letteratura inglese del terzo anno, a un certo punto nei miei appunti sono comparse correnti filosofiche, psichiatriche e sessuologiche. A proposito di psichiatria, le teorie mi causavano un tale disagio che mi rifiutavo di annotarle nei miei appunti a mano a causa della loro concezione assurda e violenta delle donne.
Quelle nozioni semplicistiche riducevano le donne a oggetti sottomessi. Sembrava che fossero infastidite dal fatto che il loro potere stesse diminuendo.
