Ethnonationalism and Opposition to Immigration

Hi. How are you? Welcome back to one more day , from the Canary Islands to the world,  with a new episode of this podcast about human rights or other curiosities. A pleasure to be here.

Ethnonationalism and opposition to immigration are increasingly influencing political parties and voting behaviour in the Western world. New radical right-wing parties have emerged

“We are seeing a trend in the increase of extreme and narrow nationalism. Stigmatisation and scapegoating of those perceived as foreigners has led to the exclusion of certain people from the protection of the law,” the  UN expert says.

In my opinion, xenophobic politicians emerge because they have followers who do not search for information, and they listen to what they want. But they are not alone because they need a troll army that fuels audiences.

Please, if you read or listen how human rights are attacked, do not follow them!

And with this I conclude today episode, see you in the next one!

If you have any comments or suggestions for future episodes, you can write me a comment.
