Deportation Policies and the Building of the Wall Began with Democrats' Administrations.

Hi. How are you? Welcome back to one more day from the Canary Islands to the world with a new episode of this podcast about human rights or other curiosities. A pleasure to be here.

If we compare deportations carried out during the terms of Barack Obama, Donald Trump and Joe Biden, the former holds the record. During his administration (2009-2017), more than five million deportations were recorded. The process reached its peak in 2012 with almost 400,000 deportations recorded that year.

The construction of the wall

The first 22 kilometers were built in 1994 under the administration of Bill Clinton, who launched 'Operation Gate Keeper' to stop illegal migration.The last parts of it were completed after President Barack Obama took office in 2009.
