BOOKS OF THE WORLD | "1984" by George Orwell

George Orwell's "1984" explores themes such as totalitarianism, the manipulation of truth, mass surveillance, and the loss of individual freedom in an oppressive state.
Totalitarianism and State Control
One of the central themes of "1984" is the critique of totalitarian regimes. The novel presents a world where the Party, headed by Big Brother, exerts absolute control over all aspects of citizens' lives. This control manifests itself through constant surveillance and the repression of any form of dissent.
