#mipeorpesadilla #myworstnightmare

I wanted to ask and they confirmed my suspicion: the foreigners of my city were progressively disappearing ... I asked and I asked and they only knew to answer me that many had taken them because they were no longer necessary and there was risk of imposition of culture or religion. I protested, protested and protested ... I looked around and saw only people of my own ethnic group. All was strangely monochromatic, gray ... bored ... I could no longer hear the words and sounds so characteristic ... everything was squeaking ... Where were they taking them? To their countries, where there are tragedies? The natives looked at me with a crazy face ... I sometimes accused them of racist and xenophobic ... The relevant authority, not without some reason, almost stopped me for defending something that went beyond its rules. But I did not care. I insisted on knowing where they were ... (to be continued)

#mipeorpesadilla #myworstnightmare

... One day, speaking to speak, I discovered that, like many canaries, I also descended from migrants, which made me see that perhaps my vocation was not gratuitous. And I was more interested in interculture ... to know where people came from and why their rites, their cuisine, their languages, even see, that much of what we have, we owe it to cultures from far lands.
However, one day I ended up especially exhausted among so many activities and projects that I designed, that it was difficult for me to sleep and when I, at last, I fell asleep, suddenly, "my worst nightmare" began:
I was going down the street, and although it was full of people, I felt something empty ... something I did not fit ... it seemed that something was missing ... I no longer saw those people, so close to me, but at the same time so far, culturally speaking, The same ones that many times stopped me to greet me, I even started to feel nauseous .... "Mi peor pesadilla" -- "My worst nightmare"

Throughout my life, I have felt a special attraction for everything intercultural ... In fact, and even if it seems silly to tell, I had a collection of "dolls" of all ethnicities , which I loved to put in a circle, as if they were talking, Which I suspect was the germ of the vocation I have towards interculture.
Luckily I live in a city that is between three continents, so you can imagine, here we live with people of all ethnicities and religions. For me it is an authentic delight to walk the streets and see their colorful clothes ... (to be continued ...)
