España siempre fue un país de emigrantes, principalmente, bien a causa de la tremenda hambruna, bien por la guerra o bien por la dictadura. Así es nuestra historia migratoria:
-1907: Regulación de la emigración. Había que solicitar un permiso para salir. Se dió libertad de salir para ir a trabajar, incluso los marinos lo necesitaban si se iban a dedicar la transporte de migrantes, pero la población en edad de hacer el servicio militar tenía prohibido hacerlo.
-1950. En plena postguerra, la falta de perspectiva a la vista hizo que muchos canarixs, así como también del resto del país, decidió que era mejor "hacer las Américas". A bordo de barcos como "Elvira" o "Telémaco", muchxs canarixs llegaron a Venezuelao cuba en condiciones deplorables. Tras un mes de viaje, fueron internados encampos de internamiento. Unxs prosperaron y otros no. Y NO LLEVABAN PAPELES.
-1960. De nuevo, muchxs españolxs salen rumbo, esta vez a Alemania o Suiza.
-1975-80's. Algunxs españolxs se acogen a la ley del retorno.
-1985: España entra en la UE. Eso hace tengamos nuestra primera Ley de Extranjería. Muy restrictiva.
-1994: Llegan a nuestras costas 1 patera con 2 personas migrantes. ENTONCES NOS CONVERTIMOS EN UN PAÍS DE INMIGRANTES.

-1994: 1 boat with 2 migrants arrives on our shores. THEN WE BECOME A COUNTRY OF IMMIGRANTS.
