For decades, we’ve clung to a comforting belief: that culture, art, and education are our ultimate shield against barbarism. But the 20th century shattered that illusion. Look at Germany—the cradle of Goethe, Kant, Beethoven, and the Bauhaus. It stands as a chilling reminder that even the most enlightened, sophisticated society on earth can slide into collective hatred.

So how does a civilization lose its moral compass? It doesn’t happen overnight, and it doesn't mean people suddenly lose their minds. It just takes someone clever enough to weaponize their deepest fears.
