BOOKS OF THE WORLD| "Rebecca", Daphne du Maurier

Greetings to all listeners. I'm back with another episode packed with incredible content. It's an honor to share this space and time with you.

Today I'm opening a book that isn't on any bookshelf: the one that's written with every page that transforms us. We travel the world in search of new stories, because reading is crossing borders without a passport. And every story is a cultural compass.

For those who enjoy romantic novels with a gothic touch, today I bring you "Rebecca," written by this English author.

The atmosphere of Rebecca is reminiscent of gothic novels; the action takes place in Cornwall, Wales
, and its plot revolves around the memory of the deceased first wife, Rebecca, which is perversely used by a housekeeper to make the second wife unhappy. The novel has sometimes been classified as romance, although for most critics it stands out as a masterpiece in the suspense genre.

If this literary journey inspired you, recommend it. And if you have a book that changed your life, tell me about it. See you in the next episode!
