Hi. How are you? Welcome back to one more day, from the Canary Islands to the world, with a new episode of this podcast about human rights or other curiosities. A pleasure to be here.
Lamentably, there were not only concentration camps all around Europe. We also had them in Spain.
On days like these, where so many hate crimes, especially homophobia, are taking place in Spain, talks are no longer of much use to me if they are not accompanied by a more powerful awareness. In the Canary Islands there were concentration camps: one in Tenerife, Fyffes, where political prisoners were imprisoned; another in Fuerteventura, which, under the name of Colonia Agrícola Penitenciaria de Tefía, imprisoned the homosexual population.
And with this I conclude today episode, see you in the next one!
