I remember when the teachers of the past were a respectable profession: you learn, in a very boring way, but you learn. Now, and I have had the experience of being in the same classroom with 18- or 19-year-old students; teachers have almost become the BFFs of their students. What is the problem? When you ask for respect, you will have a rebellion. This kind of behaviour only benefits all "teachers' pets".
