Xenophobes Against the Last Ramadan Pray in Squares

My name is Patricia. When I started the podcast, I made it clear I wanted to share ideas, to spark curiosity. Follow me to discover new things.

When the holy month ended 2 weeks ago,  I read a lot of critics because they were praying in public spaces, so I want to explain it. Today I wanted to tell you my experience sharing the Ramadan breakfast, a lot of years ago.

I know a lot of  Muslims thanks to my voluntareering  and I had the opportunity, as a Christian, to "have breakfast"with them. It usually consists of soup, dates, juice and sweets. The fast is broken with a date and a short prayer.

I remember that the Muslim community could pray freely in the squares, in front of everyone, and if you were there, all you had to do was search for information: it was the end of Ramadan.

Thank you for tuning in to "Living among Cultures!" If you enjoyed today's episode, please take a moment to reflect on what was explained here. Feel free to leave me a comment!
