Hi everyone, and welcome to this podcast, coming to you from the Canary Islands and reaching listeners around the world.
This is a raw and unfiltered look into the darkest chapters of history. In each episode, I explore dictatorships, hate crimes, and regimes of terror that left deep and lasting scars on humanity. Silenced voices, forgotten memories, and uncomfortable truths that need to be told.
Let’s take a moment for introspection:
The goal of this exercise is to:
• Develop a deeper understanding of what it feels like to be forced to flee your home
• Practice decision-making and building consensus
• Strengthen empathy and solidarity with refugees
Materials needed:
• Post-its or small squares of paper (about 8cm x 8cm), 3 per participant
• Pens or pencils, one per person
Ask everyone to imagine that they suddenly have to flee their home for a specific reason, and can only take three things with them.
They must write one item on each piece of paper.
Next, ask each person to present their choices and explain the reasons behind their decisions.
Now, let’s return to reality.
Hundreds of thousands of Palestinians are being forced to choose between heading south—where there’s no longer any physical space for tents—or staying behind, even as an imminent Israeli military offensive looms.
And with that, we wrap up today’s episode. See you next time!
