Across Europe, young people are increasingly turning to far-right parties. In Germany, for instance, 16% of voters under 25 supported the Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) in recent elections, placing them second behind the Christian Democrats. Similarly, in France, 30% of youth voted for Marine Le Pen's National Rally, with support rising to 39% among those aged 18-24 during the 2022 presidential run-off.

Why are young Europeans gravitating towards far-right ideologies? Experts point to several factors:

• Economic Insecurity: High youth unemployment rates, particularly in countries like Spain (27.9%), Greece, and Italy, contribute to a sense of hopelessness among young people.

• Disillusionment with Traditional Politics: Many feel that established parties have failed to address their concerns, leading them to seek alternatives that promise change.

• Effective Use of Social Media: Far-right parties have adeptly utilized platforms like TikTok to engage with younger audiences, presenting themselves as relatable and in touch with youth culture.
