Hi there. Welcome to this podcast, from the Canary Islands to the world.
Stories of struggle, resilience, and hope from migrants seeking a better future, facing cultural, legal, and personal challenges in new horizons.
Inclusion and integration are concepts related to the reception of migrants, but they have different nuances. Integration refers to the process by which migrants adapt to the host society, acquiring skills and resources t |o participate in social, economic, and cultural life.
Inclusion, on the other hand, focuses on creating an environment where everyone, including migrants, feels valued, respected, and has equal opportunities. In short, integration is an individual process, and inclusion is a broader societal goal.
And that concludes today's episode, see you in the next one!
