Una intervención social salva vidas| Human Supporters Association.Protección de la infancia .Nablus. Palestina

Human Supporters Association is an association created in May 2002 after the Israeli invasion of Nablus, in which a group of young paramedical workers got involved with children and adolescents who have been affected by traumatic situations, the objective was to improve the quality of life and bring you happiness by keeping them dealing with trauma through resilience practices the mission of  association is to empower, mobilize and serve the local community with a special focus towards children women and youth in underserved communities imagined as the village refugee camps remote and the old town of Nablus.

The main objective of the psychosocial program is to improve the conditions of childhood and improve controls in their future life through education, rehabilitation, support in the red, as well as the creation of opportunities and training.

Israelis and Palestinians Can Look for Peace

Hi. How are you? Welcome back to one more day from the Canary Islands to the world with a new episode of this podcast about human rights or other curiosities. A pleasure to be here.

The Parents Circle – Families Forum (PCFF) is a joint Israeli-Palestinian organization of over 700 families, all of whom have lost an immediate family member to the ongoing conflict. Moreover, the PCFF has concluded that the process of reconciliation between nations is a prerequisite to achieving a sustainable peace. The organization thus utilizes all resources available in education, public meetings and the media, to spread these ideas.  These families identified with a call to prevent bereavement , to promote dialogue,  tolerance, reconciliation and peace.  The contact with these Palestinian families came to an end with the second “Intifada” uprising.  At the same time, that is in  the year 2,000 contact was established with Palestinians from the West Bank and East Jerusalem, who in turn joined in with the activities of the Parents Circle – Families Forum. This group together with their Israeli partners, established the essence of the work of the Parents Circle today.

And with this I conclude today episode, see you in the next one!

BOOKS OF THE WORLD| English Renaissance Theatre

Hi there. Welcome to this podcast, from the Canary Islands to the world.

This is a literary journey without borders. Each episode I explore a work, an author or a literary movement from different corners of the planet. Because books are also passports, and each story brings us closer to different cultures, languages and realities.

If I've discovered anything while studying English literature, it's my passion for Shakespeare. At first glance, his works may seem somewhat weary, because many themes (exiles, magic or usurpation of power) are repeated, but he knew how to denounce the authoritarian monarchy of James I, corruption, and human psychology like no one else.

Among other changes, we can see how the stage design changed forever: first, because the theaters were located on the outskirts, plays were performed at midday to take advantage of the light, and so was the use of decorations like curtains and stage machinery. Furthermore, the audience was priced according to the ticket price.

And with that, I conclude today's episode. See you in the next one!

If you have any comments or suggestions for future episodes, please leave me a comment.

LIBROS DEL MUNDO | El teatro renacentista inglés

Cześć, jak się masz? Witamy w tym podcaście, z Wysp Kanaryjskich w świat.

To literacka podróż bez granic. Każdy odcinek zgłębia dzieło, autora lub ruch literacki z różnych zakątków świata. Bo książki są też paszportami, a każda historia przybliża nam różne kultury, języki i realia.

Jeśli coś odkryłem studiując literaturę angielską, to moją pasję do Szekspira.

Do zobaczenia w następnym!

Jeśli masz jakieś uwagi lub sugestie dotyczące przyszłych odcinków, zostaw komentarz.

STORIES FROM HORROR| Gorée Island, Senegal

Hi there. Welcome to this podcast, from the Canary Islands to the world,

This is a raw and unfiltered look at the darkest chapters of history. In each episode I explore dictatorships, hate crimes and terror regimes that left indelible scars on humanity. Silenced voices, forgotten memories and uncomfortable truths that need to be told.

Gorée Island is a place in Senegal. It covers an area of 17 hectares and is located off the coast, three kilometers from Dakar, the capital. As a symbolic memorial to the African slave trade, it was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1978.

As a curious aside, it was a veritable human market, where women were valued more than men, and as merchandise, their health, bust size, and teeth were evaluated. Children were evaluated based on their teeth and their condition at the time of the transaction. There was also a reification: they lacked individual names and were referred to by the characteristics of their teeth.

And with that, I conclude today's episode. See you in the next one!

If you have any comments or suggestions for future episodes, please leave a comment.

MIGRANT LIVES | Back to Square One

Hello, how are you? Welcome to this podcast, from the Canary Islands to the world.

Stories of struggle, resilience, and hope from migrants seeking a better future, facing cultural, legal, and personal challenges in a new world.

He arrived in a country where he knew no one. He slept in a room with five other people. He washed dishes, carried boxes, swept floors until dawn. He ate just enough. He dreamed of returning, but returning well. With gifts. With success.

Time passed. The savings account never grew. Friends from there stopped asking. Those from here began to whisper: "And this one? Wasn't he doing so well?"

After a while in another country, he returned with just one suitcase. No house. No car. No papers. No money. He returned empty-handed, his face more wrinkled, and a certainty stuck in his chest: "I failed."

Returnig was worse than leaving. Because he returned without showing what everyone expected of him. No one said anything out loud... but they all said it with their eyes.

He didn't bring money with him: he brought with him an uncomfortable silence. And a story that no one wanted to hear. Because it wasn't the success story they had hoped for.

And with that, I end today's episode. I'll see you in the next one!

If you have any comments or suggestions for future episodes, please leave me a comment.
