Viendo como la extrema derecha va ganando terreno  a costa de los derechos,  es fácilmente entendimiento que nos preguntemos si nuestros políticos están preparados para atender la diversidad, especialmente la cultural. 

Siempre lo he dicho: una acogida sin escucha y sin entendernos es el espacio propicio para el choque cultural. Y hay un ejemplo claro: aquí hemos aceptado a comerciantes indios o chinos pero no a árabes.

Vedendo come l'estrema destra stia guadagnando terreno a scapito dei diritti, è facile capire perché ci chiediamo se i nostri politici siano pronti ad affrontare la diversità, soprattutto quella culturale.

L'ho sempre detto: un'accoglienza senza ascolto e senza comprensione è terreno fertile per lo shock culturale. E c'è un esempio chiaro: qui abbiamo accettato mercanti indiani o cinesi, ma non arabi.

La sensibilización y su impacto

 

La sensibilización, que es mi trabajo, es un tipo de intervención social que permite facilitar o fomentar la empatía o el entendimiento sobre determinadas situaciones, que quizás todos hemos oído habla de ella, pero no hemos profundizado. Lo más peligroso ya no es no tener empatía, es continuar en un estado de neutralidad, indolencia o ignorancia que hace que un problema vaya a más.

En el caso de la migración, hay quien se dedica a difundir bulos, aprovechando que hay gente que no se molesta en profundizar en el por qué vienen, sino que se quedan con una parte de la información.

Por eso, ruego que se permitan dar charlas en espacios culturales o centros educativos.

Awareness, which is my job, is a type of social intervention that makes it possible to facilitate or foster empathy or understanding about certain situations, which perhaps we have all heard of, but have not delved into. The most dangerous thing is  longer no to have empathy, it is to continue in a state of neutrality, indolence or ignorance that makes a problem worse.

In the case of migration, there are those who are dedicated to spreading hoaxes, taking advantage of the fact that there are people who do not bother to explain why they come, but instead keep part of the information.

Therefore, I pray that someone allows us to give talks in cultural spaces or educational centers.

Sensibilisierung, die meine Aufgabe ist, ist eine Art sozialer Intervention, die es ermöglicht, Empathie oder Verständnis für bestimmte Situationen zu erleichtern oder zu fördern, von denen wir vielleicht alle gehört haben, uns aber nicht damit befasst haben. Cultura en los barrios

No sé si soy yo, pero últimamente estoy experimentando una especie de revelaciones, porque cada vez que me alejo de mi pasado como animadora sociocultural e integradora social, más iniciativas aparecen. 

Me encanta esto. Hacía años que no veía un evento  parecido.  Y por la interculturalidad, con todo lo que pasa. Hubo una actividad  comunidad hindú y una charla  sobre Latinoamérica, pero eché en falta a la comunidad china y la africana. 

I don't know if it's just me, but lately I've had a kind of revelation, because every time I step away from my past as a community art facilitator and social worker, more initiatives emerge.

I love it. It's been years since I've seen an event like this. And especially because of the intercultural aspect, with everything that's going on. There was an activity for the Hindu community and a talk about Latin America, but I missed the Chinese and African communities.

Hoy abro un libro que no está en ninguna estantería: el que se escribe con cada página que nos transforma. Viajamos por todo el planeta buscando nuevas historias, porque leer es cruzar fronteras sin pasaporte. Y cada historia es una brújula cultural.

La extrema derecha, la de ahora, como la de entonces, solo copia políticas que restringen derechos, pero no aportan nada nuevo. Una de las primeras medidas es decirte qué debes leer: ya en EEUU se está haciendo y en España han prohibido obras de teatro y retirado libros de la biblioteca.

Pregúntate por qué la primera gran damnificada siempre es la cultura.

Today I'm talking about something that doesn't happen suddenly, but silently, by decree, by omission: the dismantling of civil rights. What happens when the guarantees that sustain a democracy begin to erode? And why do some historians see disturbing echoes of 1930s Germany?

In the United States today there are: 

- Voting restrictions: laws that limit access to the polls in racialized communities.

- Mass surveillance and criminalization of protest.

- Setbacks in reproductive, immigration, and LGBTQ+ rights.

- Use of the judicial system to consolidate political power.

- Rhetoric of “internal enemies” that justifies authoritarian measures.
